No need to mount but you can if you wanted to. Easy to use and they have great volume. He does music making and video game development, so he needed the sound quality.

Grabbed a few of these to keep around the house and they charge fast and have a solid connection with zero wiggling or random disconnects. Six feet is the perfect length for lounging on the couch while still being plugged in without feeling tethered.
